Museo del Ciclismo G. Bartali

The museum dedicated to Gino Bartali is located in Ponte a Ema, place where the great champion was born and began his playing career. The building was completed in 2006 and spreads over three floors covering a surface area of more than one thousand square meters. In the basement is the storage of bicycles from different periods, which offers a glimpse of the development of bicycle technology, and on the first floor is the museum itself where are on display velocipedes, bicycles, clothing and memorabilia documenting the history of cycling and the feats of Gino Bartali and other champions. There are also preserved important collections of old newspapers, numerous publications and videos. The walkable roof terrace is well suited to the staging of thematic initiatives.
