“The return of the XX century masters of art”

From the beginning of 2025, the initiative “The return of the XX century mastersof art” brings back to the Roberto Casamonti Collection some masterpieces belonging to its first section “Dagli inizi del XX secolo agli anni ’60”.
Carefully selected and taken out of the storages, the chosen artworks will once again be on display to the public, establishing a dialogue withe the second section currently on display “Dagli anni ’60 agli inizi del XXI secolo”.
From Tuesday, November 4, 2025 to Saturday, January 3, 2026 the public will have the opportunity to admire the oldest artwork of the Roberto Casamonti Collection: Signora con abito nero seduta di fronte (1890 ca) by Giovanni Boldini.
The most sought-after portraitist in Belle Époque, with vibrant and rapid pastel strokes on paper, gives intensity to the elegant pose and charming gaze of a fin de siècle upper-middle-class lady.
