We, Animals

Giovanni Lopez's works take us into fantastic atmospheres, events and places, outside of any time, where the figures tell us stories that have nothing to do with reality. The animals, depicted with anthropomorphic characteristics, interact with women and men immersed in a dream world, in metaphysical landscapes suspended in time.
“The worlds I describe on canvas, with clay or in pencil on paper, are without boundaries of time and space: they are my dreams, the fantastic universes I have explored, the stories I have listened to and invented, the characters coming from every dimension of the imagination” as the artist himself tells us.
The exhibition represents an opportunity to return to being children and immerse ourselves in the dreams and fantastic landscapes of our childhood, to rediscover the pleasure of fantasizing and explore the power of creativity and imagination. A saving and fundamental power in the growth path of every human being.
An adventure into the world of imagination and at the same time a tool to free the imagination.
