Forms of Nature. Photographs by Marcello Fara 2020-2021
The protagonist of the exhibition is the sea of Sardinia told with the eyes and heart by the artist Marcello Fara in his homeland. From the arrival by ship, where the island materializes in the middle of the sea among the fog, to the geometries of the seascape which seeks a balance with human intervention.
The photographer's work begins when, returning to his homeland by ship, he begins to glimpse the island. Shots of a dream that materializes with liquid and evanescent atmospheres. The aim is to tell the story of the span of a day that goes from dawn to dusk.
Fara focuses in particular on a point of the sea where a concrete wall, belonging to a hydraulic human intervention, seems to seek a balance with the marine landscape that has been there for millions of years.
A dialogue built through geometric lines that circumscribe atmospheric and changing pieces of color, fragments of solemn and ancestral materials, evanescent shores as the hour and the season pass, clippings of steep profiles that capture the structural essence of the geological mystery of the beloved land.
