“The return of the XX century masters of art”

Fri, 03/07/2025 - 12:21

The Roberto Casamonti Collection brings back masterpieces by artists from the first part of the collection “From the beginning of the 20th century to the 1960s”.
On a monthly basis some of the artworks from the first sixty years of the last century will be taken out of storage to be exhibited again, thus dialoguing with the second part of the collection “From the 1960s to the beginning of the 21st century” currently on display.
The initiative, opened in February 2025 with the display of "Ettore and Andromaca" (1950) by Giorgio de Chirico, was welcomed with enthusiasm by the public and will be renewed in March with two events.

From Saturday March 8 to Saturday, March 15, 2025, the painting "Donne ai tavolini" (Women at the tables) by Massimo Campigli, an oil on canvas from 1952, will find a place in one of the Collection's rooms.
Following this, from March 19 to March 29, 2025, the painting "Il Pittore" (The Painter), an oil on canvas made in 1931 by Mario Tozzi, will be on display.
Every month a different work belonging to the first part of the Collection will be exhibited.
